VOCABULARY:
- Neighborhood – a local area where people live.
Example: “My neighborhood is quiet and full of friendly people.” - Volunteer – to offer your time or service without payment.
Example: “She volunteers at the local shelter every weekend.” - Belonging – the feeling of being accepted and part of a group.
Example: “Joining the community center gave me a sense of belonging.” - Event – a planned public or social occasion.
Example: “The community held an event to celebrate the town’s anniversary.” - Supportive – giving help or encouragement.
Example: “Our neighbors are very supportive during difficult times.”
